Who are we?
Union VFX is a London-based agency specializing in producing visual content. We develop movies and series by combining our in-house capabilities; creative development and (post) production. We have worked on many big movie productions.
Now you may think: why are we seeking jobs in Russia? Because we plan to open a VFX studio in Russia!
We are looking for young, talented and driven 2D/3D VFX artist to join our team at Union VFX. We are looking for new talent with at least one year of professional experience at a (post-)production company, agency or freelance and can show a demonstrable reel/portfolio that matches our work, style and needs. The role is full time for 32-40 hours per week.
VFX Artist?
As a VFX artist, you will play a key role in creating visually striking effects for exciting new movies for world-leading movie productions. You’ll become part of our post-production team consisting of editors, colorists, compositors, and animators. As a VFX artist, you will collaborate closely with our creatives and producers to bring concepts to life and create jaw-dropping visual content.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, creating and integrating VFX from start to finish.
- 2D/3D compositing; such as screen replacements, retouching, tracking and set extensions.
- 3D Modeling; creating 3D objects and structures to enhance our visuals.
- Animating; creating motion graphics and kinetic typography.
- Working closely with our creative team to bring ideas to life.
- Managing multiple projects and ensuring that all deadlines are met.
- Communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders to ensure top quality results.
Requirements/You:
- At least 1 years of experience working as a VFX artist or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of industry-standard software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Photoshop, Nuke, Blender, Autodesk Maya, Houdini and/or Cinema 4D.
- Experience in creating special effects, visual effects, and particle effects.
- A strong understanding of lighting, shading, and texturing, and how they can be used to enhance 3D animation.
- Knowledge of compositing, rigging, skinning, and other technical aspects of 3D animation.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to take and provide constructive feedback
- Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure work meets high-quality standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively deal with clients, team members, freelancers, and vendors
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
