We are currently looking for our new Receivables Manager Russia for account receivables team which consists of 2 direct reports. You will report to the AR Team Leader Nordic, work closely with the full Nordic organization and colleagues all over EMEA and support local Finance team in AR related reporting.

You will be accountable for all credit control and reconciliation processes. Work with the profit centers to overall improve processes to achieve better results through proper cash allocation, reconciliation and queries management for all accounts. Oversee the day to day activities within the Team to monitor and achieve monthly performance measurements of all accounts. Manage and work closely with Account Handlers, O&S and the profit centers to ensure all targets meet and succeed requirements acting a proper business partner.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Ongoing monitoring and control of AR ledgers to ensure prompt premium collections, timely and accurate premium allocation and commission payments.
  • Control of Facultative Reinsurance bookkeeping and executing (releasing) payments to facultative reinsurers.
  • Control of Reinsurance Loss Recoveries bookkeeping and collection.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation of AR ledgers (premium receivables, commission payable, reinsurance balances), prompt follow up and investigation of reconciling items.
  • AR receivable reporting (incl. reporting for local and regional credit committee meetings).
  • Preparation of AR breakdowns for Statutory Regulatory reporting.
  • Intercompany balances confirmation (IMR).
  • Process re-engineering for AP/AR processes
  • Monitoring targets for the team, to ensure that they are in line with objectives in all countries including resolution assisting Client Contacts, Profit Centers and Brokers when required.
  • Supervise and drive on shore projects performance and activities
  • Monitor and review statistics generated from RI report to ensure Cash movement and receipt of payments comply with KPI’s.
  • Manage end to end the receivables portfolio
  • Ensure that all un-reconciled cash items are under query, within one month of receipt of payment.
  • Training any new staff on all systems used within assigned area.
  • Approving & authorizing all write offs/rates of exchanges within approved limits/ Ensure SLA application
  • Be able to undertake other duties/transformation projects as appropriate within your competence, as required by your Manager from time to time.
  • Review account on day to day basis and clear cash and production entries where applicable
  • Prepare for and attend weekly Team and Management meetings,
  • Perform Mid Term and Yearly Staff Appraisal’s.
  • Implementation of a robust dunning and cancellation mechanism

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Strong team leadership skills, with the ability to direct and motivate staff
  • Always looking for continuous improvements and change management skills
  • Good time management skills – ability to handle multiple priorities, organise work and meet deadlines.
  • Strong focus on attention to detail and the desire to deliver accuracy and quality.
  • Strong administrative, numeracy and personal organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills with your Customer’s and the business.
  • Liaise to deal effectively with people at all levels – strong conflict management abilities.
  • Able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.

Key Experience:

  • Previous experience within Insurance industry preferred.
  • At least 2 years previous experience of Supervising and managing a Team.
  • Fluent English
