Sandvik Coromant opens a position of
Business support specialist
The role
To provide Special Tools technical solutions, simplistic design, production sourcing and drive profitability and sales growth; be an expert in the utilization of Sandvik Coromant Business Platforms and proactively deliver Special Tools solutions including Special Tools Engineering quotations and simple drawings to both internal and external stakeholders within region. Act as a departmental liaison with the Global Design Office and ensuring collaboration within all the business support functions in region.
To work as part of Business support team and to execute the daily operations and tasks required for tender procedures in the Business Support Team for customers and sales.
Main responsibilities:
- Provide execution of quotations for specials based on existing procedures and follow up the process for quotations and orders for special tools based on company strategy
- Constant improvement of knowledge in the special tool design and quotating for fulfillment the requests in most efficient way from cost point of view.
- Provide information to employees regarding new technologies and inventions.
- Analysis of requests for design
- Control the lead time of quotation preparation.
- Co-operation with internal departments/internal customers, exchange of experience and knowledge.
- Participation in negotiations with customers for better understanding of their demands and requirements for special tools. (KPI: Hit rate, Lead time, number of external complaints).
- Proactive promotion of advantages of GEPO solutions for customers and via sales representatives.
- Preparation of statistical reports.
- Provide regular monitoring of specialized sites, tender sites to find relevant information regarding state, commercial opened trade procedures and electronic tenders.
- Define and inform about tender procedures. Provide communication with tender’s committees. Request necessary trade documentation, examine and define all changes in tender documentation. If necessary, request for additional information and explanation.

Your profile
- Higher economical or technical education (metal cutting is preferable, mathematics, economics)
- Work experience not less than 1 year in relevant position and in tender procedures
- Knowledge of federal laws and other legal documents and materials for tender participation
- Knowledge of administrative and business correspondence
- Knowledge of pricing and price policy
- Experience in complicated engineering projects
- PC skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Good communications skills both verbal and written to be able to influence others
- Ability to build broad personal network.
- Systematical approach and analytical abilities
- Skills to solve complicated technical tasks
- English knowledge at intermediate level is a strong plus
