StudyLab School in Moscow seeks an expert for IELTS/TOEFL/SAT/GMAT preparation.
Our students apply for highly selective universities, boarding schools abroad and require individual customized approach. The successful candidate will demonstrate a dynamic and creative approach to teaching, the necessary skills and vision to enhance teaching and learning within the School. We look for an expert who can lead our students to ambitious academic goals and demonstrates a result-oriented approach.
The teacher will be responsible for preparing students for such exams as IELTS/TOEFL/SAT/GMAT. The lessons take place on 1-1 basis and in small groups of 3-6 students. The goal is to develop effective study strategies and academic English capabilities in order to prepare students for university environment and successfully passing the exams.
The successful candidate
- Energetic and team-oriented;
- Experienced in teaching study strategies for students;
- Has got an experience in preparing for SAT/SSAT/TOEFL/GMAT exams;
- Dynamic, energetic and team-oriented;
- Responsible and involved in the academic goals of students;
- Confident with strict deadlines in students' preparation;
- Creative and experienced in the use of various learning resources, language teaching methods;
- Has strong interpersonal skills and strong work ethics
Core functions
- Lead students to their academic goal;
- Devise study plan based on student’s academic goal;
- Apply individualized approach in a classroom;
- Monitor the student's progress and adapt the study program depending on the student needs;
- Cooperate with the School staff
Requirements
- Higher education in Pedagogy or Linguistics;
- Teaching qualifications;
- 3+ years of relevant experience,
- Outstanding students' results in passsing the exams and entering highly selective boarding schools and universities (e.g. the Ivy League and other top universities)
- Exemplary communication skills;
- Well-roundedness, a good sense of humor
