Role Summary/Purpose:
The Industry Domain Expert will accelerate growth and competitive differentiation of GE Power Digital by bringing Power industry domain expertise to their engagement with customers. This role is focused on driving meaningful customer outcomes, consisting of software & hardware based solutions that support key initiatives like reducing production cost, optimizing asset capability and improving reliability. The role is placed in Moscow
Essential Responsibilities:
You will work closely with Sales, Product Management, and Engineering to establish the best approach to manage these outcomes utilizing GE’s state-of-the-art software based tools. Responsibilities encompass the full process lifecycle from assisting in the software development, facilitating software sales, and providing onsite customer adoption.
In this role, you will:
• Support development and deployment of state of the art software designed to drive Operational Excellence across power generation fleets for our customer and in the GE Digital Power Plant
• Assist Sales and Marketing teams to identify customers that can benefit the most from Operational Excellence
• Work closely with Region Sales teams and Solution Architecture to drive sales of Power Digital software
• Work with Product Management teams to understand where GE solutions exist and where external solutions are required to drive Operational Excellence
• Provide input and feedback to the Product Management team
• Lead the discovery sessions to identify business value for clients
• Identify areas where GE should invest in NPI to expand Operational Excellence solutions
• Be responsible for major and complex assignments with long-term business implications, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, and contribute to the overall business strategy
• Develop evolution path and migration plans for key GE customers from their current state to the target GE Digital Strategy by deploying Predictivity Solutions in concert with other GE Products & Services
Qualifications / Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, science, engineering, technology or related discipline
• Minimum of 10 years in power generation industry, including fossil based plant operation
• Experience with Power Generation using multiple fuel sources
• Experience with multiple Power Generation OEM technologies
• Experience with multiple aspects of the energy value chain e.g. T&D, Consumers, Trading etc
• Minimum of 10 years in plant/fleet operations, plant system design, and/or fleet support roles • Fluent English and Russian • Must be willing to travel up to 75%
Desired Characteristics
• Manages and possesses working industry knowledge and skillset (of self or others) in assigned vertical (Power Industry)
• Exposed to developing and selling SW/HW solutions. Including creating and executing propositions and a track record of success
• Technical acumen to interface with technologists, understand complex concepts and translate in a way that businesses or industry can understand
• Demonstrated problem solving and creative skills, ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on market and customer trends – go beyond the status quo
• Ability to deal with ambiguity, strategic agility, manage diversity and drive for results
• Consults customer on alignment of outcomes and desired business solutions at an enterprise level; Analyzes, designs, develops and documents a business outcome roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state of the business.
• Experience Plant operations and maintenance processes (O&M), and develop value cases to support the business case for GE Software and solutions.
• Possesses working knowledge of configuration choices and related cost implications; Experience with multi-P&L solution configurations.
