We are looking for Capital Projects Budget Manager/Controller (invest controlling) on the one of our mine.

Tasks

Budget Development:

• Collaborate with project managers/evaluation and study managers, to create comprehensive budgets for capital projects
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to inform budget decisions.
• Investment cards (IC) creation, assistance to project managers.

Budget Monitoring:

• Regularly track and report on capital project expenditures, variances, and forecasts and commitments.
• Creation of purchase requisition in SAP (PS module), tacking purchase orders creation/tendering/contraction and goods/services delivery status, and subsequent payments.
• Projects schedule monitoring and updating (assistance to Project manager)
• Ensure proper cost allocation between projects and WBS inside projects.
• Review and approval of contracts/tenders related to projects.
• Monitoring of outstanding accounts payables/receivables related to projects
• Implement tools and methodologies to monitor budget adherence and financial performance.

Financial Analysis:

• Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights into project performance and budget efficiency.
• Factor analysis on budget/schedule deviations with comments on reasons and mitigation actions
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and project statuses.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for budget-related inquiries from project managers and stakeholders.
• Facilitate budget review meetings and workshops to ensure clear communication of financial expectations.
• Participation in yearly and strategic planning.

Compliance and Governance:

• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations regarding budget management and capital expenditures.
• Assist in the preparation of documentation for post investment analysis/ audits / related to capital projects.
• Project closure in SAP, assets put into operation in accounting

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for improving budgeting processes and methodologies.
• Develop and implement best practices for capital budgeting and financial reporting.

Requirements:

• Successful work experience in project budget controlling: (from 3 years)
• Understanding of budgeting process, project management, construction
• Excellent skills (MS Office: Excel, Powerpoint)
• Experience with SAP ERP (PS/MM/FI/BW modules).

Education / Qualifications:

• Higher economic/technical
• English language - at least at least Upper Intermediate
• French language - at least at least Upper Intermediate
