We are building a Web3 game — Roach Racing Club, where players become managers of biomechanical roaches tied to crypto price feeds. They participate in real-time races, and their success depends on their ability to predict asset price movements.
We turn trading into a fun and accessible activity for everyone, adding a touch of excitement and competition, blending passion and economic incentives within a decentralized model. The project is launched on the Abstract network.
We are looking for a Lead Game Designer, an experienced specialist, team player, and fast learner, who knows all the nuts and bolts of game design. Willingness to start as soon as possible and be responsible for the produced results are the musts.
What you’ll be doing:
- Design, balance, implement, and maintain meta-game and economic systems

Conceptualize and create detailed game design documentation

Work collaboratively with stakeholders to create an exciting gaming experience
What you'll need:
- 3+ years of experience as a game designer on one or more game titles
- A strong sense of what makes a gameplay experience compelling and fun, as well as the ability to articulate well why a game design decision is good or bad
- Experience designing progression, matchmaking, or social systems

Strong knowledge of retention, engagement, and monetization, and how to design across different genres to target players
- Outstanding self-motivation and initiative

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have:
- Strong understanding of mathematics and probability theory
- Experience developing or working with casino games
- Hands-on experience with decentralized applications
- Interest or background in stock markets and trading
- Proficiency in implementing game content using programming or scripting languages
