Position Overview:
As a DevOps/System Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our systems. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with a strong background in DevOps practices and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Infrastructure Design and Automation:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure using tools such as AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
- Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to automate provisioning and configuration management.
2. Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD):
- Establish and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and deployment processes.
- Implement best practices for automated testing, code quality checks, and deployment strategies to ensure rapid and reliable releases.
3. Monitoring and Alerting:
- Set up monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve performance issues and security vulnerabilities.
- Utilize tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack to gather and visualize metrics and logs.
4. Security and Compliance:
- Implement security best practices and compliance standards to safeguard sensitive financial data.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments, and implement appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
5. Collaboration and Documentation:
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including development, operations, and security to ensure alignment and smooth execution of projects.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- English at B2 or higher.
- 4 years of experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering role, preferably in the fintech or financial services industry.
- Proficiency in cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
- Strong expertise in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools GitLab CI, Github CI.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Docker Compose and the orchestration tool Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and compliance principles in cloud environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.
