Our client is an international company that is looking for a Project Manager/Construction Director for the construction of a CCGT plant.
Under the supervision of the Project Director (CEO/GD), manage the overall engineering, construction, installation, and commissioning of the asset until the commercial operation date.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- Actively support and apply the Project Health and Safety policy and procedures to achieve Zero Harm.
- Provide leadership and a personal commitment to achieving Project Health and Safety objectives.
- Plan for construction activities (including related logistics) and ensure constructability reviews of the design are carried out at all stages
- Ensure in coordination with EPC and Legal support all permitting and authorizations will be delivered on time
- Input construction and logistics constraints into the project execution plan including the schedule
- Ensure proper quality control is exercised on all construction activities and checks as carried out as per inspection plans before constructed parts are hidden
- Ensure that worker mobilization is properly planned including visa and administrative requirements
- Responsible for the delivery of the asset, within the approved budget, schedule, quality, and project specifications
- Supervise and coordinate all the design, construction, and installation-related contracts (the EPCI Contracts, “consent” equipment, local base & accommodation, and all related services contracts) from a technical, legal, contractual, and commercial perspective
- Ensure interfaces between packages are managed operationally, including synergies for logistics, establishing segregated work areas, and clarifying physical interfaces,
- Ensure that major risks associated with project construction and commissioning are managed
- Responsible for coordinating permitting (EPC/Owner)
- Ensure that the construction resource plan is in accordance with objectives and project need
- Responsible for the interface and day-to-day relationship with all the stakeholders
- Provide appropriate reporting to the Project Director (CEO/GD) as per Project procedures on construction progress and issues
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- +15 years of experience in similar positions in Energy, O&G, Chemicals, etc. sectors (no infrastructure)
- Technical Bachelor Degree (MBA is a plus)
- Experience in CIS is a plus
- Fluent in English and Russian (Uzbek is a plus)
- Ready for business trips
