Finance Controller and Chief Accountant
Position reports to the Finance Director.
This role will be responsible for managing the accounting department and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the accounting department, ensuring efficient and accurate financial operations.
- Coordinate reporting processes on a monthly and annual basis, adhering to financial policies.
- Ensure compliance with Russian accounting rules and regulations for record keeping.
- Ensure timely and complete reflection of accounting transactions.
- Participate in the preparation of internal accounts at month-end, following reporting rules and company policies.
- Safeguard accounting records and ensure their integrity.
- Participate in the annual audit process.
- Contribute to the development and updating of internal policies and procedures.
- Manage and lead employees within the accounting department.
- Select, motivate, and develop assigned employees.
- Ensure adherence to internal rules and regulations by providing oversight and direction to employees.
- Provide training, development, and ongoing coaching to employees as needed.
Requirements:
- Higer education with a degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field;
- Minimum of three years of experience as a Chief Accountant;
- Excellent leadership competencies and supervisory skills with experience managing a team (at least five employees);
- Experience in Finance Controlling is preferable;
- Proficient in using accounting programs commonly used in Russia & CIS, with strong SAP knowledge;
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and teamwork skills;
- Fluent in English;
- Demonstrated ability to handle stress and meet tight deadlines;
- Strong focus on achieving results.
