The main tasks and responsibilities of Trade Development Officer/Manager:
• perform all functions related to the development and promotion of trade, investment and tourism;
• make concerted efforts to expand bilateral trade, especially Pakistan's exports to the Russian Federation and Belarus;
• assist the Minister (Trade and Investment) in the performance of his duties;
Required Qualifications and Attributes:
• The candidate must be a graduate of a reputable university and have at least 3 years of work experience, preferably in the trade and institutional sector. A bachelor's or master's degree in economics, business administration, marketing and finance, trade development, etc. is desirable;
• Excellent analytical skills and keen interest in trading and investment;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work under pressure;
• Flexibility, positive attitude towards work and ability to solve complex problems;
• Computer and data analytics skills, as well as fluency in English;
• development and promotion of trade, investment and tourism, establishing business contacts, networking and organizing B2B meetings; preparation of various reports; cold and warm calls; organization and management of trade missions; seminars/webinars, fairs and exhibitions, etc.
• Market research activities on a regular basis to obtain up-to-date information on market access requirements, trading conditions and country policies, as well as to conduct market surveys and studies to identify export opportunities for Pakistani products; collection of trade requests; preparation of research reports; translation and interpretation; data mining, exploitation and analysis
