Startup inside a corporation Qatar Insurance Company (QIC Group) — a leading player in the insurance market in MENA Region (Qatar, UAE, Oman, Kuwait), with more than half a century of experience in the field of insurance and an "A" rating from S&P. We create the best insurance services on the market and we use a product approach.
We are looking for an Android developer who is willing to take responsibility. You will be developing a mobile app that makes driver’s life in Qatar safe and easy by implementing solutions that are needed for driver’s safety with simple, seamless user interfaces. Work remotely in a team with talented guys you can learn from. We build the best insurance products and are waiting for you.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test and implement an Android application as well as continued production of new versions of the application
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
Skills
- Significant experience with all aspects of native mobile application development on Android (Kotlin/Java);
- Has used several tools from the Android Jetpack Suite;
- Have published at least one original Android app;
- Experience with Jetpack Compose in production;
- Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies;
- Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle;
- English level B1 or higher;
- At least 3 years of work experience in a similar position.
