Role description
We are expanding our IT team and looking for a Software QA Engineer who can support our efforts in platform development. This position is remote full-time and focused on new features manual and automated testing. As a QA Engineer, your role will be crucial in ensuring the quality of our software products and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results.

Through our platform, companies have the chance to easily obtain quotations and order parts for their production needs. Our international network of thousands of production partners enables us to offer a wide range of processing technologies: CNC processing, sheet metal processing, 3D printing and others. We deliver the final parts after a strict quality assurance process and our customers can always track the status of their requests. Xometry’s customers include BMW, Bosch, General Electric, NASA and thousands of others.
The platform
The platform (ERP system + Customers front + Suppliers front) is based on Ruby on Rails/Postgres/GraphQL stack, Typescript/React frontend, Python modules and integrations with 3rd party solutions via APIs. Currently, the European tech team is 50+ people in size and serves 4 regional platforms (Europe, UK, Turkey and China) while US business has a different platform and is served by another tech team. We are building the uber-like platform for manufacturing, deploying updates almost every working day, so there is a lot of interesting work to be done.

Functional responsibilities
-
Execute test cases and scenarios to identify defects and issues. Perform exploratory testing to uncover defects when formal test documentation is insufficient, search for bugs & unclear behavior and write detailed RFC issues.

Create and maintain test documentation (English). Document and report defects, issues, and anomalies found during testing, investigate target platform behavior. Business processes on our platform can be complicated, so a QA Engineer should understand the basics of our business processes and teams.

Collaborate with developers and product managers to prioritize and validate issues, actively participate in team meetings and status updates.
Requirements for applicants

Strong experience in manual testing of large complex web projects (platforms, SaaS, marketplaces, etc.)

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to details, ability to work effectively with minimal formal documentation

Strong English (and Russian) language skills, ability to explain things, to participate in video calls, to write documentation in English is a must.

Technical education, ISTQB or other professional courses in testing is a strong advantage

Good understanding of web technology stack, programming & SQL experience is an advantage
-
Testing automation experience & skills are a serious advantage

Strong soft skills and teamwork orientation
Education, including special education
