We are seeking a talented and creative Industrial Designer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of our groundbreaking products. As an Industrial Designer, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of wearable technology and positively impact people's lives.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop aesthetically appealing, ergonomic, and functional wearable devices that align with our brand vision and product requirements.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineers, product managers, and marketing to ensure seamless integration of design concepts into final products.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of user needs, market trends, and emerging technologies to drive innovative design solutions.
- Create sketches, renderings, and 3D models to communicate design concepts and effectively present ideas to stakeholders.
- Develop detailed product specifications, including materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes, considering factors such as cost, quality, and feasibility.
- Generate prototypes and conduct user testing to validate design concepts, gather feedback, and iterate on designs for continuous improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in industrial design, wearable technology, and user experience design.
- Collaborate with external partners, suppliers, and manufacturers to ensure the successful implementation of design concepts into mass production.
- Design packaging for our wearable devices, considering structural design, graphics, brand identity, and user experience.
- Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure packaging designs meet quality standards and production requirements.
- Work within project timelines and effectively manage multiple design projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of design guidelines, standards, and documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Design or a related field.
- Proven experience of 3+ years as an Industrial Designer, preferably in the consumer electronics or wearable technology industry.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino).
- Strong understanding of design principles, aesthetics, and human-centered design approaches.
- Excellent sketching and visualization skills to effectively communicate design concepts.
- Experience in creating 3D models and renderings using CAD software.
- Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and technologies relevant to wearable devices.
- Ability to balance creativity with technical constraints and manufacturing considerations.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to think critically and propose innovative solutions.
- Effective communication and presentation skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Experience in designing packaging for consumer products, including structural design and graphics.
- Ability to create packaging that aligns with brand identity, product positioning, and user experience.
- Familiarity with packaging materials, printing techniques, and regulations related to packaging design.
- Ability to work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure packaging designs meet quality standards and production requirements.
- A comprehensive portfolio showcasing your design projects, including sketches, renderings, 3D models, finalized products, and packaging designs.
