The Package:

The Scope:
Based at the plant (about 150km of Moscow), the Head of Procurement will oversee and manage the procurement department, reporting to the Supply Chain Director. Responsibilities include procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, contracted manufacturing, and customs/inbound transportation. The position involves managing approximately 30 vendors and procuring 250 items.
The Role:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies aligned with company goals.
- Lead and mentor a team of four subordinates.
- Procure raw materials, packaging materials, contracted manufacturing, and customs/inbound transportation.
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements.
- Conduct vendor assessments and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for effective coordination.
- Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Implement inventory management strategies.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and ethical sourcing practices.
- Drive process optimisation and cost reduction initiatives.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities.
The Candidate:
- Higher education
- 3 year + experience in a similar role for a FMCG company
- Very good team management/motivation experience
- Excellent communication skills with all the interlocutors (team, management, cross department, suppliers)
- Multi-tasking, solutions maker, and optimisation enthusiast
- English (intermediate level)
