Position Description
As one of the most popular products in the world for pregnant women, we work with global FMCG, Pharma, and e-Commerce companies. With advertising through amma our selected set of brands gets an opportunity to communicate with our unique audience of moms-to-be. Our users, in exchange, get the best offers from brands.?
The role of the Legal Counsel is to assist all the departments in managing legal processes and assisting legal operations.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting and reviewing agreements (Independent contractor agreements, Agreements and Insertion Orders for digital advertising services, Data Processing, Agency, Licensing, Software Development Agreements, etc.).
- Ensuring KYC and compliance checks of contractual counterparties, preparing paperwork for client checks (including arranging notarization, translation, shipment, etc.).
- Taking active part in drafting internal governance policies, contract templates, POAs, other documents.
- General legal support of the group companies: registration activities, corporate procedures (organizing general meetings, drafting GM minutes and board resolutions, annual reports, etc.), performing research and preparing legal memoranda on various commercial, compliance and other issues.
- Providing assistance in drafting and revising company’s Terms of Use, Privacy Policies, Public Offers for mobile applications and websites.
- Evaluation and risk assessment of group’s business activities and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and industry requirements. Developing and implementing an effective legal compliance program.
- Auditing of advertising materials, website content, etc. to assess compliance risk, identify weaknesses for compliance with applicable laws and advertising policies and standards.
- Drafting pre-action letters and court claims for debt enforcement.
Requirements:
- Higher education degree in Law.
- Required experience: 2+ years in a similar role (preferably in IT and/or Advertising).
- Upper-intermediate level of knowledge of English (including business and legal).
- Strong theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in the key areas of civil law (including IP law), personal data protection, advertising, information, consumer rights protection law.
- General understanding of software development process, mobile application architecture and digital marketing system.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office and Google Docs, etc.
- Ability to think and lay out information in a structured way, provide “real world” and creative solutions within legal boundaries.
- Ability to work under time and workload pressure without losing attention to detail, prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, good team player.
- Preparedness to relocate to another country if such a requirement arises (however, we do not warrant this, and at the moment there is no such requirement, but it may appear)
Will be a plus:
- Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, LGPD will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Spanish language will also be an advantage.
- General understanding or even knowledge of English law and/or EU law/law of European countries and/or U.S. law and/or law of Latin America countries will also be an advantage.
