We have been producing automotive parts for almost 10 years in cooperation with the largest factories worldwide. The main market is the European Union. Our headquarters and a large part of our team are located there. We also have a subdivision in Russia, but it will be closed in the near future.

Now we are looking for a Quality Director, with relocation to Lisbon (Portugal), where we have opened a new office. The company takes care of visa and work permit and provides intermediate remote work through Kazakh subsidiary for the duration of visa processing (6-9 months). After 5 years of residence in Portugal it is possible to obtain citizenship.

Job Purpose:

Manage risks in cooperation with third-party factories (production outsorsing) to ensure that the quality of auto parts production meets EU regulatory requirements and product performance expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain quality standards, procedures, and documentation systems for the manufacturing of automotive components by third-party suppliers.
• Ensure supplier compliance with Company’s quality standards and specifications through regular supplier quality assessments, audits, and performance monitoring. Develop and maintain supplier scorecards to evaluate supplier performance on a regular basis and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with supply chain and cross-functional teams to drive root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to address non-conformances and prevent future quality issues.
• Coordinate with product marketing & engineering teams to provide quality engineering support for new product development projects and collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Provide leadership and guidance to quality engineers and quality inspectors to ensure compliance with quality standards and meet the demands of customers and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for improving quality and reducing manufacturing costs through process redesign, optimization, automation, and supplier development programs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, customer-specific standards, and industry best practices. Organize and analyze tests for compliance with technical requirements.

Qualifications needed:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, or relevant technical field; master’s degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of automotive quality standards (ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949) and problem-solving tools (8D, 5 whys, Ishikawa diagrams).
• Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes, preferably in the components domain.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure, make sound decisions, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• English = fluent, Russian = fluent.

Required experience:

• 9+ years of experience in automotive supplier quality management, product quality engineering, or a related field in automotive manufacturing or Tier 1 / Tier 2 supplier industry.
• 7+ years of experience in a managerial position/role/area.
• Demonstrated experience in supplier quality management, measurement, and continuous improvement processes.
