Overview
We are searching for an enthusiastic and motivated Teacher of Russian language and literature within the Brookes Moscow campus to create a positive and supportive learning environment and develop activities so that students are able to practise the language in a meaningful context. The position of Teacher of Russian language and literature reports to the Head of Upper and Senior School.
The position will be for the 14 August 2023 start.
Requirements
- University degree (desirable in specialisation in teaching Russian as a foreign language);
- 3+ Academic background in teaching Russian language;
- Training as a language teacher (Russian preferred);
- Ability to teach native and non-native speakers of Russian;
- Teaching experience and willingness to work with students age 3-18;
- Fluency in English is a must;
- Excellent lifelong learning skills;
- Excellent organisational and time management skills;
- High sense of responsibility & flexibility;
- Adaptable and flexible to the requirements of the school.
Responsibilities

To plan and deliver lessons in accordance to MYP and DP requirements to non-natives and native learners;

To teach and educate students according to the educational needs, abilities and attainment potential of individual students;

To assign, correct and mark work carried out by students;
-
To assess students following the MYP and DP guidelines;
-
To record and report students’ progress as per the school’s guidelines;
-
To communicate, consult and co-operate with other members of the school staff and parents/guardians to ensure the best interest of students;
-
To carry out other duties as may from time to time be requested.
