Function description:
- Handle media relations in collaboration with the spokesperson of the delegation
- Plan, produces, adapt and promote content (video, photo, articles etc.) for media and ICRC digital platforms in Russian and English in close collaboration with the digital team and spokesperson.
- Develops and maintains a network of external contacts with media, agencies and other platforms, manages external creative suppliers, including writing contracts and handling related budgets.
- Develop and support a two-way communication with people affected by humanitarian crisis, including in collaboration with the Russian Red Cross.
- Support colleagues with communication responsibilities in other offices covered by the regional delegation of ICRC to define communication objectives for the area they cover, implement, adapt and evaluate relevant activities and tools.
- Contributes to defining communication objectives for ICRC regional delegation for Russian Federation and Belarus, in line with the priorities of the delegation’s communication strategy.
- Is responsible for implementing and evaluating relevant activities and adapting supporting tools, including: operational communication, community engagement, promotion, building National Red Cross/Red Crescent Society communication capacity, public communication, production/distribution, digital communication and information analysis/environment scanning.
Required skills:
- University degree in a relevant field such as communications, political science, international relations or journalism. Additional education in the sphere in project/event management is an asset.
- Minimum 3 years’ work experience in communications.
- Fluent spoken and written English (B2-C1).
- Computer skills (proficiency in MS Office), familiarity with digital communication tools.
- Good communication and writing skills.
- Readiness to travel.
- Experience in project management is an asset.
- Experience in the humanitarian field is an advantage.
- IHL knowledge is an asset.
- Sound knowledge of the political, social and media environment in the country/region covered.
Terms and conditions:
- Full-time indefinite employment contract;
- Monthly salary 120’000 RUB before taxes, 13th salary, medical insurance.
