One of our Clients - International Oil&Gas/Energy service company - is looking for Commissioning Controls & Instrumentation Service Field Engineer (gas turbines).
Scope of work:
- Instrumentation
Removal/reinsertion of the instrumentation required for inspection purposes
Examination of function and zero shift of VGV actuator
Testing the fuel valves (gas, liquid) for external leaks and opening pressure
Impulse meters. Cleaning and functional testing
Testing the ignition devices
Inspection of the flame detector
Testing the anti-icing system for external damage and corrosion, correct functioning and reduced performance
Testing the mechanism for the overspeed shutdown
Testing the blowout valve adjuster and opening and closing period - Commissioning
Examination of the CO2 fire safety system
Loop check of the dismantled instrumentation after reinstallation (together with the Owner)
Testing and readjustment of fuel regulators and VGV actuating drive
Start-up tests up to idle mode (together with the Owner)
Start up the generator up to basic load (together with the Owner)
Contactor tests
Optimization of combustion (pulse output, emissions, combustion temperature)
Overspeed check
Imbalance analysis after start-up (and balancing as necessary) - Control system scope
Visual inspection to all control system components
Backup of application server(s)
Diagnostic of hardware malfunctions (I/O racks…)
Diagnostic check-up tasks on application server / thin clients
Troubleshooting events, communication issues and alarms
Check status and replacement of automation processors batteries (if required) - Electrical scope (mostly visual inspections)
Battery, DC UPS, Busduct, Excitation & Voltage Control, Generator Circuit Breaker,
Generator & Transformer Protection, Neutral Point Cubicle, Synchronizing, Measuring, Metering, Starting Motor, Start Up
Requirements:
- Commissioning of controls systems of gas turbines experience; Siemens SIMATIC - experienced user (is must); Experience with Control system for SGT-800 Gas Turbine is preferable.
- English - basic technical documentation reading skills. Spoken skills would be an advantage.
Project and conditions description:
- Fixed-term contract for 3 months - from the beginning of June until the end of August 2022;
- Shutdown, repair and commissioning of several gas turbines on two sites (power plants);
- Short-term relocation is required;
- Travel and accommodation expenses are compensated;
- On site schedule is 6/1, 60 hours per week;
- Attractive conditions and salary level.
