Reuters is looking for a Video journalist, Digital Content and Broadcasting to join our busy Moscow bureau. You will be an experienced news videographer who can shoot, edit and write to very tight deadlines in the fast-paced environment of the world’s leading news agency. We want someone who is confident handling breaking news as well as pitching stories that go beyond the headlines and help explain to a global audience the political, socio-economic, environmental and cultural change that are taking place in Russia and the CIS region and why they matter.
You will be part of a multimedia team and work closely with video, text and still photo counterparts in Moscow. Fluent English and Russian language skills are a must for this position.

Responsibilities:
- Have a keen eye for visual storytelling and the ability to shoot and edit footage within tight deadlines.
- Coordinate daily news coverage and work closely with the Moscow news desk.
- React quickly to breaking news offering live cover and still photos as appropriate.
- Produce tight, well-written accurate news copy to deadline.
- Pitch story ideas which also translate well for digital and broadcast platforms.
- Work as part of a multimedia team that covers events, starting from the planning phase through to field work.
- Represent visuals internally and externally, building a strong relationship with local and international clients.
- Proactively source user-generated content and other 3rd party material, especially for breaking news.
- Uphold Reuters Trust Principles of independence, integrity and freedom from bias.
Requirements:
- Education to first degree level or equivalent in journalism or related discipline.
- 4 years experience in either a broadcast, agency or digital newsroom.
- Full, clean driving license.
- Excellent Russian and English - written and oral (C1/C2 level).
- Excellent news judgment, with a clear vision of what makes a compelling visual story.
- Advanced camera and video editing skills.
- Experience shooting live video.
- Thorough understanding of the latest digital video technologies for filming, editing, transmitting and sharing video.
- Experienced social media user.
Competences:
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally at short notice, including to hostile environments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships quickly.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, ability to drive skills and accuracy.
- Ability to work solo combined with a good team spirit when working in a larger newsgathering team.
