The Market Access division acts as both educators and advocates for the products, processes, and practices that help MSD revolutionize medicine across the globe. Our tenacious, assertive group of individuals uses a deep understanding of the healthcare market in order to build collaborative relationships with the business leaders, customers, and legislative powers that help cultivate positive uptake of and education about MSD’s products throughout the world.
Responsibilities:
- To build and execute Access and pricing strategies for Oncology and design appropriate customer models
- Responsible for pricing & reimbursement submissions and negotiations across affiliates in the Russian Federation
- Integrate access strategy and pricing in a coherent and actionable manner
- Manage and coordinate all activities for Russia related to payers on a country within existing budget channels
- Engage with external stakeholders in key regions / markets to inform and validate specific products market access strategies
- Ensure appropriate access for MSD products with public payers through planning and executing on innovative access solutions reflecting the specific needs of Russia
- Ensure appropriate products listing on national/regional/ hospital level
- To develop viable relationships within key customer groups at local, national and regional levels
- Scan external environment to identify and analyze trends/changes which will influence access, and their implications for MSD
- Shape health policy by identifying, building and leveraging strong relationships with key external stakeholders
- Develop and maintain a seamless interface with Market Access in the country organizations to ensure local and regional requirements are represented effectively and early in the process
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Proven ability to include high value innovative medicines in ‘Funding Channels’ in Russia, e.g. EDL, ONLS, 7 Nosologies, Rare diseases program and regional programs
- Driven substantial results in-market for high value products
- Seamless collaboration across the organization in a cross functional team (very strong team-worker)
- Understand the environment / legislation and policy and compliance aspect
- Understanding value dossiers and able to translate / adapt those to a Russian Value dossier
- Very strong GR / Policy understanding and skills, ideally existing network with key decision makers / authorities in Russia (payers, policy, medical)
- Preferred experience in high value medical background (fallback Hospital-Specialty Background)
- Ability to translate strategic vision into tactical action, identify the highest impact ideas / plans and focus efforts by resource allocation
- Ability to establish excellent working relationships with countries, cross-functional teams and global stakeholders and navigate complex matrix environments.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Independent and pro-active self-starter who operates with a strong sense of ownership for projects and results
- Energetic, flexible team player with ability to adapt in a changing environment
- Strong analytical skills – ability to synthesize data/insights from local/regional markets into recommendation/input into global oncology Market Access strategy
- Hands-on with an entrepreneurial and pragmatic approach and a curiosity to build
- Situational awareness and acumen – ability to interact with varying levels of seniority within the organization
- Experience in building relationships/networks with health care decision makers (governments, payers, insurers, policy makers KOLs etc.)
- Experience in effectively and persuasively articulating complex issues to key decision makers
