The Opportunity:

We are looking for Associate (Senior Consultant 1 or Senior Consultant 2) to join our Tax Dispute Resolution team.

We provide the following services to clients:

• Support of desk and field tax audits, pre-audit tax control measures;
• Drafting objections to certificates, complaints related to resolutions based on results of tax audits;
• Support during disputes with tax authorities at pre-trial and trial stages;
• Representing clients in tax authorities, higher tax bodies and courts of all instances.

The Role:

• Work as part of an experienced and high-profiled team and demonstrate efficient team-work;
• Draft procedural documents;
• Make legislation and court practice researches on the wide range of issues;
• Participation in client meetings to collect needed information and assist senior colleagues in developing a defense strategy;
• Participation in court hearings and in meetings with tax authorities, marketing events (supporting senior colleagues and independent performance);
• Working on various projects by ensuring a full-scope help for senior colleagues and delegating tasks to junior colleagues.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• University degree in law (bachelor or specialist degree as a must);
• 3-5 years of legal consulting experience and/or in-house legal practice in tax litigation sphere (experience in drafting of procedural documents, communication with tax authorities, participation in court hearings as a must, please refer to the specific cases / projects in your CV);
• Excellent technical knowledge of Russian tax, civil, procedural (especially arbitrazh) law;
• Working knowledge of the English language: both oral and written;
• Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work in a team, meet challenges and deliver outstanding results;
• Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously being under time pressure;
• Ability to delegate tasks to other colleagues and coach to help deliver good quality results;
• Career-and success-oriented.
