JOB SUMMARY
Localization Coordinator supports Localization team with documentation, audio assets and promo translations quality check, keeping glossaries and translation memories up-to-date. Localization assistant helps Localization Project Manager with short-term and long-term localization projects as needed.
This is a fixed-term project role, on an outsourced basis. Please apply only if you consent to the fixed-term duration of the contract.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Documentation: Localization document filling (special terms, dubbing requests)
- Editing: Q-Check (Quality Check) promo translations on any localization issues (including key words check in Baltic, CIS languages);
- Glossaries and translation memories: build out and make sure the glossaries are up-to-date and relevant, both in terms of the property and of language quality; maintain and own the translation memory (as recorded scripts, songs and titles revision and storage); ensure consistency in terminology across assets and departments (editorial support for internal teams regarding dedicated content);
- Project assistance: assist in maintaining the correct amount of subtitles on-air; assist Localization Project Manager with short-form localization projects as needed (including Baltic and CIS localization projects); assist Localization Project Manager with large long-term projects and on-the-ground events as needed (including production scripts), including Baltic and CIS localization projects;
- Miscellaneous: Q-check audio assets and their delivery via internal services; order/store/deliver assets and production materials as needed; work with task managers (TeamWork, V-Localize).
ROLE-SPECIFIC SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES
- Passion for localization and entertainment content;
- Experience with Translation, Editing, and/or Proofreading will be your strongest point;
- Excellent level in Russian language along with strong grammar skills;
- Upper-intermediate/Advanced in English, (close to) native-speaker level understanding of the language
- Uncanny attention to detail, inability to miss typos or incorrect terminology
- Feel of voice, tone and style;
- Confident copywriting skills will be helpful;
- Efficiency at working with remote teams across different time zones.
