PROFILE
Gowling WLG is currently seeking an experienced Patent Attorney to join our award-winning life sciences practice in Moscow.
Patent practice is a core strength of our firm. Globally, we have been a leading IP firm for over 100 years, and our patent professionals across the world are ranked as leaders in their field, with a particular focus on life sciences.
We have one of the largest patent drafting and prosecution practices in the world. From biotechnology and pharmaceuticals to manufacturing and technology our team has unrivalled reputation for industry insight.
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the world’s leading IP practices, working as part of a committed, high-calibre team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
All aspects of patent attorney practice, such as patent filing and prosecution, providing patent infringement and patent validity opinions, licensing and revocation actions
Liasing with international and local clients
Providing clients with strategic advice related to patent protection in Russia.
Working primarily in the area of biotechnology and life sciences.
QUALIFICATIONS
Registered Russian Patent Attorney
Previous relevant experience (minimum 4 years or more) in patent prosecution and strategic management of patent portfolios
University degree in chemistry, biochemistry, medicine or other related field
Fluency in English (both written and oral) is a must
Law degree is an asset
Client-oriented and results-driven, and able to work well in a fast-paced environment
Strong legal, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
Enthusiastic and committed team player
