About App Center
Semrush has launched and is further developing its own App Center that is aimed to become a go-to place to find best-in-class marketing solutions integrated within Semrush. The tools are developed by third-party vendors and by Semrush. Each app featured within our App Center is hand-picked by the Semrush team to ensure quality, reliability, and provide exclusive deals for our users.
We are currently looking for a Technical Writer to join our strong App Center Team. It is a new role for the project, and many processes will need to be built from scratch.
Responsibilities:

Plan, write and maintain technical docs for developers, such as App Center integration guides, how-tos, API documentation, etc.

Work closely with software engineers both inside and outside of Semrush to identify issues that can be addressed through better technical docs.

Ensure that documentation resolves roadblocks and improves the overall developer experience.
Most of the App Center docs will be written in markdown and built with a static site generator. You will encounter other solutions (Confluence, Swagger, etc.) depending on the project.
Requirements:

You have demonstrated experience writing technical docs for the developer audience.

You have excellent knowledge of English and know how to adjust your writing style for different audiences.

You are able to articulate, communicate, and defend your ideas.

You’re ready to learn new tools and technologies.
-
You’re comfortable working with ambiguity.
It would be great if you had experience working with Git and markup languages, but it’s not a must as we’re ready to teach you these things. Knowledge of some programming language would be a plus too.
