THE ROLE
A great opening is available within our team: we are inviting you to join us as a Transportation Planner/SAP KU! The main purpose of the role is to manage daily operations of finished product shipments to Wella customers or other Wella locations. Additionally you will be the first level of support for work system. If you are interested then it's an excellent opportunity for you!
Reporting to: Logistics Leader
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As SAP KU
- First level of support/coaching for work system (both work process and technology) for end users through their expertise in the systems and work process and how they work together
- Lead deployment of technical and work process changes/system upgrades/improvements.
- Stay current on updates/projects impacting work system
- Own the processes for escalation of technology issues and how to input for work process changes
- Support projects as requested and may participate in development and user acceptance testing on new technology and work processes
- Responsible for following best practices to end users and for communicating, coordinating and validating issues/improvements between the business and regional system experts the global standard solutions
- Conduct end user training as required
- Qualifier for keystroke/work process integration if required as part of work system's qualification process
- Owner of security process for technology to maintain proper registration
- Participate in internal and external audits
As Transport planner
- Daily collaboration with ship sites / operations to identify and resolve gaps pertaining to trailer pool management, emergency order processing and re-routing of shipments to different shipping locations.
- Daily collaboration with transportation suppliers to insure effective management of shipments at both origin and destination.
- Daily collaboration with CSO on the effective management of promotional shipments and other critical orders requiring increased attention.
- Daily monitoring of shipment tracking systems ensuring capacity needs are met and that shipments are set-up for on time delivery success.
- Collaboration with the PD Transportation Operations Leader on outstanding freight payment issue resolution.
- Ensure shipments are serviced by the awarded primary carrier.
- Minimize cost of exceptions (emergency orders, premium freight, less than full vehicles, etc)
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
- Higher education, relevant experience of min 3 years
- Experience in SAP
- Project management skills (records of executed projects)
- Advanced user of MS Office (Excel Macro)
- Fluent English Desirable
