Position Summary
Due to increased scope of work Bitfury got a vacant position for a design engineer mid to senior level to increase performance and reliability in the team. Designer in this position will review existing documentation of mobile datacenters, develop improved versions and brand new concepts in 3d, issue engineering drawings and part lists for production to contractual partners, check and sign design documents prepared by others.
The position presumes remote work, ability to self organize work time and work place with no supervision, answering work related questions any time of a day, sometimes outside of working hours and sometimes at holidays in case of urgent matters. Workload may flow from moderate to very intense. Candidate should be able to work in a very tough timeline.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build concepts in 3d (Catia V5) with minimal supervision.
- Issue full set of design documentation of the product in areas of mechanical and electrical integration per ASME or ISO or GOST standards, prepare parts list in PDM system.
- Learn existing methods and tools in the industry, propose improvements based on modern and efficient standards to solve existing problems in a most efficient way.
- Manage version control of design documentation, issue revisions and communicate them to contractual manufacturers.
- Remotely communicate with a pull of partners regarding production plans, documentation versions and other questions primarily in English.
- Write work instructions for product assembly.
- Prepare RFQ globally for the companies in different regions, i.e. US, Canada, EU, China etc., establish business relations with potential partners, visit their sites and make conclusions.
Qualifications:
- English language, ability to speak and understand;
- Catia V5 Sheetmetal, Assembly, Part, Shape;
- Mechanical engineering professional;
- Electrical wire routing knowledge;
- Electrical equipment installation knowledge;
- PDM systems general knowledge, i.e. Enovia, OpenBOM;
- Automation knowledge, PLC, SCADA basics;
- Understanding HVAC basics, can to make calculations of air flow required to cool down electrical equipment;
