WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
- Technical degree or equivalent background.
- Experience in a facilities management organization, preferably in a high-volume retail sector.
- Extensive knowledge of systems, technical characteristics and methods of proper operation and preventive maintenance of engineering systems, equipment, installation, maintenance.
- Extensive knowledge of legislative and regulatory acts (labour protection, industrial safety, environmental legislation, industrial sanitary and fire safety) governing the activity of the unit, as well as internal organizational and administrative documents concerning the activities of the unit.
- Proven experience in the Safety and Security area.
- Good knowledge of accident and incident report tools and procedures in order to record unusual events to ensure correct- event occurrence and rules for liability issues.
- Good knowledge of how to assess and mitigate risks in a business environment.
- Pragmatic, analytical approach, ability to synthesize information.
- Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in the local language in the unit as well as basic English (intermediate level).
- Advanced knowledge of how to deal with disruptive and unexpected events.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Liable with legal implications for the planning and implementation of measures for proper technical operation and maintenance of the properties within the unit (e. g. industrial safety, building structure, electrical and heating equipment, vertical transportation, environmental incidents, proper operational condition of fire safety systems and equipment.)
- Develop and implement energy saving programs according to internal and external standards
- Responsible for the availability, compliance and timely changes to technical documentation in the unit, as well as ensuring the storage of documentation provided by equipment manufacturers and technical reports
- Manage incidents and emergency situations related to both physical assets and people related in the unit including prevention measures and follow-up
- Ensure that all the preventative measures stated in the internal policy and local regulations are followed as well as implementing further measures and systems related to the prevention of crime, fire safety, natural hazards and safety during operation
- Overall responsibility to ensure compliance on Real Estate projects performed in the operational unit
- Liaise with external stakeholders and authorities, including through reports to ensure local compliance for labour protection, industrial safety and security during operation, maintenance, repair and mitigate risks
- Responsible for developing the team’s competence, performance and ensuring knowledge is developed continuously in the team
- Ensure that risk to IKEA assets and business operations are recognized and managed in an appropriate and compliant cost-effective manner with business and budget goals as a foundation
- Responsible for accident reports, periodic reports to central risk function, perform audits, proposals and strategic initiatives.
- Maintain relations with all communal rescue services and state supervisory authorities.
