Joom is an international mobile marketplace, the fastest growing e-commerce service in Europe. We launched the first version of the application in the summer of 2016, and currently we have over 400 million installations worldwide.
We are currently looking for a copywriter to develop an information portal for Chinese sellers and write legal notices to sellers on behalf of Joom. This employee will collect oral and written information about the platform from different teams, write articles and news alerts in English and Chinese, upload articles to the portal, and send news to sellers.
Tasks:
- interact with product managers about writing and editing articles and news notifications
- write articles and news alerts in English and Chinese
- set up automatic mailing of news notifications
- upload articles to the platform and be responsible for its information structure
- timely update the information in the articles
- translate ready-made texts from English into Chinese and vice versa, control the timing of translations (if the translation is not performed by a copywriter), carry out proofreading, editing, and ensure consistency in terminology.
Requirements:
- native Chinese
- the ability to write literate and concise texts in an informational style
- fluent English
- basic knowledge of the Russian language
Preferred:
- journalism or philology education
- Photoshop or other graphic editor skills at a basic level
- understanding the specifics of B2B content
- experience as a copywriter / translator of written materials.
