KAZ Minerals Russia is looking for potential candidates for the position of Lead Electrical Engineer.
Structural Division: Infrastructure Section / Infrastructure and Logistics Department
Reports to: Infrastructure Manager
REQUIREMENTS:
- Engineering degree, preferable in design and construction of power facilities and networks;
- At least 10 years of experience in design and construction of power facilities and networks;
- At least 3 years of experience in design and construction of port infrastructure facilities;
- At least 3 years of past experience in the client’s team is desirable;
- Previous experience in detailed design in large institutions would be advantageous;
- Knowledge of Russian design codes and regulations and approvals process is essential;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and AutoCAD;
- English – Upper-Intermediate.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the execution of design and survey work, construction work on power supply facilities and lines in transport infrastructure projects in the client’s team;
- Manage and monitor the workflow of design and construction of power supply facilities and lines in transport infrastructure development projects undertaken by local contractors and/or RDIs;
- Ensure produced design documentation for transport infrastructure power supply facilities and lines is approved in federal and municipal authorities according to applicable Russian Law;
- Ensure adopted engineering solutions for transport infrastructure power supply facilities and lines are checked for conformance to regulations as well as codes applicable to Article Circle regions;
- Ensure adopted engineering solutions are checked for adequacy in terms of minimization of construction and operation costs;
- Draft Scope of Work and Specifications for design institutes developing Design and Working Documentation for transport infrastructure power supply facilities and lines;
- Administer acceptance of engineering documentation for transport infrastructure power supply facilities and lines developed by design institutes;
- Ensure the work schedule is observed, decisions committed to are fulfilled, work performed is checked, business correspondence is drafted, and meetings with project team are held;
- Prepare presentations, reports, summaries on work progress;
- Ensure incoming project documentation is checked, registered, and stored;
- Check the scope of work for conformity to adopted engineering;
- Prepare documents required for securing construction permit;
- Prepare Technical Assignments for construction, collect Work Quantities;
- Provide input to preparation of technical part of tender documentation for port infrastructure construction and erection works;
- Work with construction contractors, ensure alignment of the work with schedule, fulfillment of decision committed to earlier, completion of work, inspect completed work, prepare correspondence, hold meetings with contractors on construction site;
- Monitor preparation of construction contractors’ and design institutes’ Work Method Statement, issuance of approved Working Documentation;
- Monitor work of technical supervision team and design supervision team on construction site;
- Monitor compliance of actual costs with project approved budget;
- Check wok completion certificates;
- Oversee acceptance of construction documentation, review As-Built Documentation;
- Administer preparation of construction work progress report;
- Administer preparation of mitigation plans, design optimization suggestions at implementation phase, transport and logistics pattern optimization to allow for delivery of equipment and materials;
- Administer acceptance, incoming quality control, registration, and storage of reporting and As-Built Documentation;
- Prepare documentation required for transfer of construction site to operations;
- Ensure individual portions of construction site are inspected for readiness for commissioning by relevant bodies, including Rostekhnadzor and Rostransnadzor;
- Ensure the site is inspected for readiness for commissioning by a state body;
- Provide input to development of construction site Technical Datasheet;
- Administer preparation of documentation package to register construction site in the federal register.
