Location - Johannesburg, South Africa
Key Functions:
- Development and updating of the strategy for ONF (other non-ferrous) division, and for production assets included in ONF division
- Strategic assessment of business development options for assets and major investment projects
- Maintaining and methodological support of the process of strategic planning at the Regional level, including coordination with the Group and regional functions involved in the process.
- Preparation of materials on the strategic development of the ONF division for internal and external counterparties
- Participation in cross-functional working groups related to major investment, financial and M&A projects
- Interact with clients and attend regular meetings and provide reports
- Coordinate with cross functional team with professionalism, courtesy and tact
- Coordinate with project management staff to ensure project objectives and timelines in relation to strategic projects
- Engage and communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, suppliers, regulators, and other internal and external stakeholders
- Promote teamwork, provide support, manage and evaluate performance by creating and maintaining individual development plans and performance contracts for subordinates
- Plan, organise, lead, control and develop subordinates' activities
- Set goals and objectives for the team. Monitor and provide feedback. Address progressive poor performance
- Recommend and approve development plans.
- Develop and coach team members
- Comply with HR and company policies and procedures as well as legislation and current labour agreements
- Build/maintain appropriate financial models to support planning and analysis work
- Share strategic leadership responsibilities with senior management and ensure the Finance function supports the business in the development of business cases for CAPEX strategic and operational level
- Participate in the capital planning process
- Liaise with departments on their performance against budget and provide specialist financial management advice on budget control and forecast outcomes
- Oversee the undertaking of business case analysis in support of major projects across the organisation as required
- Develop and maintain establish standards to exhibit schedule and plan hierarchy and inform project and company management.
- Recommend and customize project control systems to satisfy project requirements
- Participate in all meetings with various stakeholders
- Performs any other duties as required by management.
- Travel to site as required (minimum 25%)
Key Requirements:
- Possess a bachelor's degree in a finance-related field, such as accounting, finance, business administration, or economics

Experience in Consulting, private equity, investment banking or Investment/ Strategy departments of industrial corporations

Experience with metals & mining is a plus
- 8+ years of experience
- Advanced training, including the certified public accountant (CPA) designation or a master's degree.
