Key responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall management and conduct of investigations including:
- the management of the Group wide Whistleblower mechanism and investigations systems and tools
- in conjunction with other relevant Departments assigning and managing investigations
- managing the quality of investigations across the Group
- undertaking investigations and writing reports
- managing associated documentation
2. Provide support across the Group in relation to investigations and training and awareness including management of relevant employees and support, training and development for other employees with involvement in investigations/training and awareness
3. Developing and implementing policies, procedures and training in relation to whistleblowing mechanism and investigations including
- Updates to applicable Group Policies
- Review of internal and external developments and incorporation of international best practice
- Developing, implementing and keep updated specific detailed procedures in relation to investigations
- Developing and conducting training across the Group in relation to investigations
4. Manage the implementation of the Company’s training and awareness programme, including:
- Conducting risk assessments in relation to training and awareness requirements
- Development of annual training plans
- Managing implementation and conduct of training and awareness
- Managing training deployment systems
- Developing content in conjunction with other Compliance staff
5. Reporting on investigations and training and awareness outcomes; monitoring of remediation actions and escalations where required, including:
- Weekly, quarterly and annual reporting
- Feedback and lessons learnt in relation to investigations outcomes
- Analysis and statistics for investigations and training and awareness
- Monitoring of remediation actions
Key Requirements
- 10 years+ experience in relevant field
- Minimum 5 years of managing experience
- Background in managing a significant investigations portfolio in a corporate environment
- Knowledge of ABC, AML, HR and trade control laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions
- Exposure to multiple high risks jurisdictions
- Demonstrable experience in data forensics and analytics
- Demonstrable experience in managing internal whistleblower programmes and reporting
- Legal or equivalent training in relation to investigations across various jurisdictions, including data protection considerations
- Experience in managing multicultural teams
- Strong analytic and report writing skills; experience in drafting and implementing Corporate procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively and develop and manage training programmes across all Compliance areas/topics
- Exposure to mining, financial institutions and/or healthcare a benefit
- Proficient user of forensic investigative tools and legal and compliance databases
- Proficient user of whistleblower and investigation management software
