KAZ Minerals Russia is looking for potential candidates for the position of Specialist on licensing and exploitation of natural resources within Legal Department in our Moscow office.
Structural division: Legal Department
Report to: Director of Legal Department
REQUIREMENTS:
- Higher education (technical, legal, ecological);
- Minimum 5 years PQE in international production projects;
- Minimum 3 years of job experience in mining or other heavy industry;
- Knowledge of the Russian system of project approval and licensing of certain types of activities;
- Skills and of communication and meaningful cooperation with colleagues;
- An organized and responsible person;
- Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Power Point), Legal Programs – Consultant Plus, Garant etc.)
- English: Upper - Intermediate.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Control over compliance with Russian Environmental law.
- Organization of activities for registration of permits and approval of projects for the company.

Preparation of documentation and provision of timely licensing and certification.

Obtaining licenses and permits in the field of ecology and exploitation of natural resources.

Coordination with structural divisions of the company.
- Design of program for the organization of the company’s environmental control.
- Preparation and submission of ecological reports to state authorities.
- Environmental impact assessment, formation and submission of the Declaration on the Negative Environmental Impact.
- Participation in scheduled and extraordinary inspections of compliance monitoring agencies.
- Interaction with state (federal, local) authorities on the issues of registration of permits and approval of projects, as well as the development of regulatory documents and standards in accordance with the Russian legislation on environmental protection.
- Appeal to Federal state authorities, urban local governmental bodies, compliance monitoring agencies (in the field of construction, environmental and sanitary control, labor protection, etc.), licensing and registration authorities.
- Monitoring of the current Russian legislation in the field of permits, ecology, construction, sanitary control, labor protection, etc.
- Preparation and revision (if necessary) of all environmental documentation.
- Organization of work on waste management.
- Formation of waste inventory.
- Entering information into the waste inventory, keeping a waste management log, waste certificate development
