Our International team is looking for a Designer who is interested in creating cool innovations in the direction of swimming. Brands you will work with: Kappa, Joss, Demix, FILA.
It is very important for us that you have experience in designing swimwear or underwear. Perhaps you had a project to develop similar range - this is also suitable!
Please write in a cover letter about your experience with sport/swim/underwear you have worked with.
Responsibilities:
- Design collections (this includes hand sketches, illustrations, technical drawings, color concepts and colored sketches, mood boards, merchandizing boards, graphic solutions…)
- Ensure proper handover of sketches into development and / or manufacturer
- Follow up on proto typing and reviewing designs in fittings
- Collect relevant information needed to create international apparel for a global market. This includes but is not limited to:
- Trade publications & trade fairs
- general interest press, trend services, fashion & sportswear magazines, store checks, market visits, team travel
- Conduct trend, travel reports for the design team, and present findings to brand management
- Build/create the seasonal color card and material palette together with the direction of the Senior Apparel Designer and Design Leader
- Present the designs internally and help with presentations, which support the launch of products externally
Requirements:
- Higher education in Design
- min 2 years experience in design
- Experience in collection development of swim products
- Computer skills on Apple Mac or PC ( Adobe Illustrator, Freehand, Photo Shop)
- Basic knowledge of pattern making and material consumption, fabric and trim usage
- Expertise and knowledge about details such as embroideries, prints, material washing standards
- Profound knowledge of fashion product and fashion design/industrial product or industrial design
- Excellent communication skills
- Presentation skills to present design concepts internally as well as externally to clearly explain design ideas from concept to finalization
- Ability to travel
- Passion for sports, especially swim
- Experience with PLM systems is a plus
