Responsibilities
Liaise with gas asset and drilling group teams for Engineering Design document and the actual well execution. Prepare HPHT Horizontal well planning including project milestones, and assurance steps e.g. concept selection, and define review assurances.
Work closely with the completion and well intervention engineering team on design & execution optimization, including coaching of other well engineers as and when required.
Interfacing and networking with HPHT global experts during the planning
Promote quality and performance improvement of well delivery and operations, HSSE, risk/uncertainty management techniques and input to related front well engineering & technology studies.
Support and provide input to cross-discipline, department and function events, framings, reviews such as Workshops, Design and execution reviews etc.
Required Experience / Qualification
Strong technical and analytical skills and specific expertise includes well engineering, design, planning, and steering of drilling, completion and stimulation operations with emphasis on:
Developing well concepts, design and detailed technical well planning of HPHT wells, MPD/UBD-gas wells, exploration wells.
Preparation of Well Functional/ Technical Specifications, Detailed Drilling Programs and developing of work procedures for offshore operations.
Casing design for HPHT wells.
Knowledge of HPHT WE technologies (new/mature).
Knowledge around MPD systems and application in HPHT.
Casing and wellhead material selection for CO2 and H2S environment offshore.
Wellhead specification for offshore wells (e.g. HPHT well application (15k psi)).
Specifying rig requirements and rig selection including BOP requirements (evaluating BOP configurations shut-in requirements and shearing capability for different well control scenarios) for offshore operations.
Drilling optimisation for performance drilling.
BHA design, drill string dynamics analysis, torque & drag analysis, bit selection & BHA optimisation.
Drill string integrity evaluation.
Familiar with Company and Industry standards and processes.
Mud selection, stimulation fluid and cementing design with emphasis on barrier and zonal isolation requirements.
Good working knowledge of the sub surface disciplines.
Offshore abandonment design.
Tender and contract evaluation.
Developing of well scope specifications for field development concepts (offshore).
Liaising with asset teams, national oil companies, project partners and with mining authorities.
Cost planning and control, development of AFEs for offshore environment.
Well Plan proficient user.
